DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) - Delphi Community Schools will be closed starting Wednesday, October 28th through Tuesday, November 10th. This is according to an email sent by Superintendent Dan Ronk.
A screenshot of the email was posted to a Carroll County information page on Facebook. He said in the email that all students will move to virtual learning starting on Wednesday.
The email does not say why the school district is making this move. However, Supt. Ronk stressed the importance of limiting gatherings and practicing social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.
He also said there will be no extracurricular or athletic activities from the 28th until November 10th. The DCHS National Honor Society induction has also been postponed. It was supposed to happen Tuesday night. Supt. Ronk's email did not give a rescheduled date for this event.
He told parents they should expect to receive more information regarding virtual learning on Friday, October 30th.
