Thanks to Tim Garbison for this pic of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction southwest of Veedersburg Monday evening through the back edge of the low clouds.  The rest of the area was overcast unfortunately!

Winds were strong today with peak gusts measured to 46 mph.

Highs today were mild at 45-52.

Tuesday looks like a decent day with low clouds eroding away with skies becoming mostly sunny before high clouds begin to increase.

This should make the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction much more visibile, but perhaps a bit blurry Tuesday evening.

We turn cloudy Wednesday with a few showers midday turning to rain late Wednesday afternoon-evening.

It would likely be a severe weather situation if warmer & more unstable.  Highs will run 51-56.

Winds will be howling with south-southwest winds gusting 40-50 mph at times.  Gusts of 40-50 mph are possible also with the strong cold frontal passage Wednesday evening-early night with wind shift from south-southwest to west to northwest.

It certainly looks Wind Advisory-worthy!

Rainfall of 0.30-0.60" is likely.

Some scattered snow showers & flurries are possible Wednesday night to Thursday AM as colder air rushes in on strong northwest winds.

Wind chills of 7-15 are likely Thursday morning.

That is our only opportunity for a dusting of snow near Christmas.

After much colder weather Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, we warm up rapidly on howling southwest winds next weekend.

Rain will develop Sunday with 43-50, followed by 45-51 early next Monday then falling as rain ends.

23-28 is likely next Monday night-Tuesday morning.

Looks like brief icy mix to all rain around December 30-31, then an all snow system possible around January 1-2.

We may have some snow/ice to snow around January 5-6.

A system of some snow may impact us around January 10.

Amidst all this, a night with lows -1 to 6 is possible.

Do any of these currently look like powerhouse, big winter storms?  Not right now.  However, they all feature accumulating snow/ice or snow to cause icy roadways & potential shoveling, plowing & treating.

It does not look especially cold, but temperatures should average near or a bit below normal, it appears for this period.
