Temperatures are near/at 0 in parts of the viewing area as of 10:55 p.m. It is 9 at the Purdue Airport & 8 here at the WLFI ob site, but one of our spotter's has 2 on their thermometer at Stockwell. Spotter at Waynetown reports 2. Round Grove has 5. Galveston has 7. Michigantown has 4.
It will turn milder, but there will be more clouds & potential of a bit of fog & drizzle at times.
Few showers are possible late on Christmas Day, followed by showers possible Thursday.
A couple rounds of rainfall are likely Friday & Saturday with a surge to the 50s.
The rain Saturday may change to snow as much colder air races in on gusty northwest winds +35 mph.
Several GEFS ensemble members do bring snow in for the Saturday-Saturday night after Christmas as core of upper low from northern Mexico pivots through.
There may be a clipper with some light snow to begin 2020, but the bigger system may be down in Texas.
That will move northeastward to affect us possibly in the January 3-6 time frame.
