Police say on Monday a Daviess County ambulance was traveling south with a patient on County Road 900 E. Its emergency lights were flashing but the siren was turned off.
As the ambulance neared County Road 975 N, it caught up with a line of horse and buggies who were also heading south.
The last driver in the line of buggies, 19-year-old Travis Wagler of Odon, failed to see or hear the ambulance as it began to turn left onto CR 975 N.
The driver of the ambulance, 38-year-old Dawn Wagoner also of Odon, did not have time to avoid the buggy as it was turning and struck it on the left side causing it to flip.
The occupants of the ambulance suffered only minor cuts and bruised while a woman in the buggy was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were damaged in the crash however the horse was not injured.
Assisting ISP at the scene was the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, Odon Town Marshall, Odon First Responders, Southwest Medical, and Wagler’s Towing.
