LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — There is extensive damage to a home on Lafayette's south side after a morning fire ripped through Wednesday. It happened in the 3900 block of Basalt Street. That is in a neighborhood south of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Concord Road.
LPD officers on the scene said dispatchers received a call about the fire at 9:40 Wednesday morning. They said the cause is still unknown.
According to officers, no injuries are being reported. The two homeowners made it outside.
