LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI)- Cpl. Humberto Sanchez's remains will make their way to Logansport on Sunday, September 12th. According to Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory's Facebook Page, the specific time and route of Humberto's return is currently being determined and will be released when those details are finalized.
In that same post, the funeral home said its goal is to have visitation and funeral services scheduled and released by Thursday, September 9.
As we previously reported Sanchez was among 13 U.S. military members killed in the suicide bombing at Afghanistan’s Kabul airport.

"As our community and nation mourn the loss of Cpl. Humberto Sanchez and his fellow servicemen and women, we wanted to reach out and give an update on what we know at this time, and what we plan to know in the coming days.
Cpl. Sanchez will be transported home Sunday, September 12, 2021. The specific times and route are currently being determined and will be released when those details are finalized.
Our goal is to have visitation and funeral services scheduled and released by Thursday, September 9.
We have been in awe of the outpouring of support and memorials created across the city and country to support these grieving families.
Any information that can be shared to properly welcome home and honor Cpl. Sanchez will be shared immediately once it becomes available.
