LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — CityBus of Greater Lafayette will open up its lobbies to the public Wednesday and resume charging on May 4th. According to CityBus, it will only allow 10 people to be in its lobby at a time and only those who need to buy a bus pass will be permitted to enter
CityBus originally stopped charging bus fees as a way to protect drivers but leaders at CityBus tell WLFI that caused people to ride the bus for nonessential trips.
They hope bringing bus fees back will make people think twice before riding the bus for entertainment.
