LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — City employees are taking advantage of the warm week. Crews have been out for the past couple of days getting all of the city parks ready for the summer season.
The slides at Tropicanoe Cove were power-washed and given a fresh coat of paint.
Lafayette Parks Superintendent Claudine Laufman said the parks are already starting to fill up with people.
"This time of year is incredibly busy for us, we are preparing for the busy summer season. Our landscape and maintenance teams are out in full force trying to keep up with the growing grass now that we have some sunshine," said Laufman.
There is exciting news for zoo lovers too, there will be baby goats as well as baby wallabies born in the next few weeks.
