LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Prosecutors have filed charges after several shots were fired into a Lafayette apartment Wednesday.
Bryan Stallings, 31 of Lafayette, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and being a habitual offender.
According to court documents, police found several shell casings in the parking lot of an apartment building near 14th and Elizabeth streets. Police said witnesses reported 8-10 shots fired.
Police on the scene spoke with Stalling, who lives nearby. Prosecutors said police found a gun inside Stalling's apartment.
He was arrested after police discovered he was wanted on a warrant. Nobody was injured.
