CASS COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Cass County deputies saved a man who became trapped in his car after a crash Wednesday morning. It happened around 7 a.m. at County Road 450 East at Division Road.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office said Marlin Kuns didn't show up to work Wednesday morning in Logansport. He also didn't answer cell phone calls, which was uncharacteristic of him. His work called him in missing.
Deputies were able to track his cell phone to where he had crashed. The 77-year-old man had been driving southbound when his car went off the roadway, hitting several trees. They said his car could not be seen from the road because of all the vegetation.
He was trapped inside his car and could not reach his cell phone to call for help. A helicopter took Kuns to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment. We don't know his condition at this time.
