VALPARAISO, Ind. (WLFI) — The Purdue basketball family added another player on Friday.
Valparaiso senior Brandon Newman signed his letter of intent to play basketball for the Boilermakers.
Newman averaged 25 points and nine rebounds per game as a junior. The standout guard joins Zionsville's Isaiah Thompson and New Castle's Mason Gillis in Purdue's 2019 recruiting class.
"It was kind of a weight being lifted off of my shoulders," said Newman. "It's a long recruiting process so to finally have it come to a close and be content with where I want to go it definitely felt really good. It's just all surreal. A really good moment. I feel really good about the decision, myself and my family. We're ready."
