WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Austin Micheal Jordan died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV at the intersection of Sagamore Parkway and Paramount Drive in rural West Lafayette.
It happened at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, December 21st.

Lieutenant John Ricks from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office was one of the first to arrive on scene. He said that a four-door Ford SUV was turning left onto Paramount Drive from Sagamore Parkway when the motorcycle crashed into the right side of the vehicle.
The 22-year-old was ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Lieutenant Ricks reminds drivers to always be aware on the road as we head into winter.
"Always motorcyclists are sometimes hard to see and when we are making left turns we just have to really be careful that the roadway is clear before we make a left turn," he said.
Hengyu Liu of West Lafayette was driving SUV. He was taken to St. Elizabeth East to be evaluated.
The crash is still under investigation.
