WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Kennedy Tolen, Tressa Senesac and Sarah Gick combined to score 42 points to lift Benton Central past West Lafayette 45-40 on Thursday at Berberian Gymnasium.
Tolen led the short-handed Bison (2-2) with 18 points. Senesac and Gick each added a dozen. BC was missing three starters due to COVID-19 concerns.
Benton Central led West Lafayette by as many as 16 points in the first half only to trail 24-22 after two quarters of play.
The Bison responded in the third frame holding the Red Devils to just five points. West Lafayette shot 26 percent from the field for the game.
Adrienne Tolen, the cousin of BC's Kennedy Tolen, paced the Red Devils (6-3) with 18 points.
