Beaver, Barnhizer lift Jeff past Central Catholic 63-53

Avery Beaver and Brooks Barnhizer each tallied 20 points to lead Lafayette Jeff (16-2) past Central Catholic (10-3).

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Avery Beaver and Brooks Barnhizer lead Lafayette Jeff past Central Catholic 63-53 Saturday night at the Crawley Center. Barnhizer poured in 20 points and added 8 rebounds in the win. The Bronchos improved to 16-2 overall on the season.

Carson Barrett paced the Knights with 20 points, while Brenner Oliver and Nate Webb each tallied 11 for Central Catholic. Dave Barrett's team is now 10-3.

In girls basketball, Harrison capped off it's first North Central Conference title since 1996-97. Sydney Jacobsen tallied a school record 45 points in the Raider's win over Muncie Central Saturday afternoon. The record was previously set in 1986.
