Hit or miss storms, then more widespread rainfall by early next week.

A few storms are possible this afternoon-evening followed by a break, then perhaps a few more showers/storms late tonight-Friday morning.

Otherwise, it looks partly cloudy, very warm & rather breezy with highs 87-91 & heat indices 92-95 with lows tonight at 57-67 from north to south with front stalling a bit just south of 26.

There is the risk of an isolated severe storm or two along & south of 26 this afternoon-evening (wind, hail).

Friday should then turn completely dry with partly cloudy skies & 80-85 with low humidity & northerly winds.  Humidity should drop nicely.

After 51-56 Friday night, Saturday looks partly cloudy with still low humidity.  It will be warmer at 82-87 with a southeast wind.

Sunday looks warmer & more humid with 84-89 with heat indices 88-93 as winds turn to the south & southwest.

A few isolated storms are possible late Sunday with scattered periodic showers/storms possible Monday & potential of a round of widespread showers/storms Tuesday.

Some severe weather is possible early in the week, particularly on Tuesday, based on latest analysis.

Changes are possible regarding timing & magnitude, so stayed tuned.

Highs will run in the muggy 80s.

A few showers & t'showers are possible Wednesday, though it will turn cooler.

The potential of additional showers & storms may return a week after this upcoming weekend.

After cooler highs near 80 next Friday with lows in the 50s, 80s will return that weekend with higher humidity.

Monday, August 21-Tuesday, August 22 look active with storms & potentially severe risk, though much confidence that far out is low.  Regardless, overall pattern supports at least showers & storms.

Those particular storms may tend to occur on periphery of expanding upper ridge that may bring us a burst of late-season heat in late August (90s).

Then, storms before Labor Day may usher in much cooler weather for near Labor Day & after with highs 75-80 & lows 47-53.
