Severe threat is over for tonight.

A few showers/t'showers may re-develop in the circulation associated with that mature MCSs comma head/MCV.

Then, after 2 a.m., areas of dense fog & very low clouds should develop with lows near 70.

As for tomorrow, fog will disperse, low clouds break & bubble up into cumulus towers.

A scattering of some showers & storms are likely with around 50% coverage.

There is the risk of a couple of isolated severe storms (wind, hail) as remnant MCV pivots through with surface cold front tracking southward.

The trend has been to keep any isolated severe along & south of I-74, but it would surprise me to see a random severe storm tomorrow farther north either.

It will be a muggy to oppressive day with highs 83-89 with heat indices 90-100.

With clouds/sun Thursday, a few isolated showers/t'showers are possible after areas of dense fog in the morning.

Highs will run 77-82 with lowering humidity after lows 61-66 in the morning.

After nice weather Friday & Saturday with cool overnights in the 50s, it looks to warm back up to 86-90 Sunday-Tuesday with high humidity.  Lows will tend to run 67-71.

A few storms are possible daily.

More widespread storms are possible by Wednesday-Thursday of next week with 80s to 90 with high humidity.

Some severe weather is possible one or both days.

Friday looks much cooler with highs only in the lower to middle 70s with lots of clouds & rainfall gradually tapering.

Labor Day weekend looks good with highs in the 70s & lows near 50 to the 50s with sunshine.

I do think lows in the 40s will occur in early September over the area.

Looks cooler than normal in early September (overall):

Looks a bit warmer than normal in latter September (overall):

Wetter than normal regime in late August, will gave way to a September likely featuring drier conditions first, then wetter conditions later.

Final monthly totals should end up slightly above normal.
