Updated: Aug 14, 2020 9:17 PM

Lows this morning ran 57-68 north to south over the area.

Highs today reached 84-90.  Heat indices peaked at 86-96.

Tonight will feature some patchy fog late & some cloudiness, mainly in the east, after a couple isolated showers/storms possible in the east this evening.

Lows will run in the 60s, followed by highs of 87-92 for a very warm to hot Saturday with heat indices peaking at 91-98.

Winds will run west-northwest at 5-10 mph.

A couple isolated showers/storms are possible in the east midday to early afternoon, then a broken line or band of pulsey storms will form in eastern Illinois & move eastward.

These storms should be rather sluggish in movement, but scattered with around 35% coverage.  A few will even linger into the overnight.

An isolated severe storm of wind &/or hail is possible.  The stronger flow aloft for organized severe storms will be well northwest & north of our area, however.

As for Sunday, skies look to become mostly sunny to sunny after partly cloudy skies & a couple isolated showers/storms possible in the morning with lows in the 60s to 70.

Late in the day, some clouds will move in from the northwest as storms will be popping with isolated to scattered severe weather risk over southern Wisconsin & northern Illinois & also over far northeastern Indiana, Michigan & northwestern Ohio.

These scattered storms should pass through later Sunday evening-night with peak coverage of 30%.

Highs Sunday will run 84-90 with heat indices 86-92 with northwest wind 10-20 mph.

A few isolated showers/t'showers are possible Monday (with partly cloudy skies) with highs 77-85, followed by lows of 53-58 Monday night.

Tuesday looks great with highs 76-81 with lots of sunshine & lows 50-56 Tuesday night.

We heat up again with time later next week.

Friday looks hot & humid with highs 88-93 & heat indices 95-102 with a couple isolated storms.  Friday night looks muggy with lows 68-74.
