ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - The City of Attica is now looking for a new police chief.

It was speculated that he had been fired, however Attica Mayor Duane Roderick said that the former police chief, Bob Cole, gave his letter of resignation to the city on Tuesday.

According to Bob Cole's LinkedIn, he started at the Attica Police Department in April of 2013.

The resignation letter indicated that he wanted a change, but was not specific on what that change would be.

Mayor Roderick said they will be advertising for the position, as well as looking at hiring from within the department.
