Arrest made in Thursday morning shots fired at Champs Bar

Lafayette Police have made an arrest in a 'shots fired' from early Thursday morning.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette Police have made an arrest in a 'shots fired' from early Thursday morning.

31-year-old Keya Erves was arrested for intimidation, pointing a firearm and criminal recklessness. 

As we previously reported, shots allegedly were heard just before 3 a.m. outside of Champs Bar on South Earl Avenue. Lafayette police said an argument started minutes before the shots were fired.

When police arrived, they found Erves and the firearm inside a vehicle.

No injuries or damage were reported. Lafayette police said the shots were fired into the air.
