LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Armstrong Park in Lafayette is now home to a new musical playground set. The Lafayette Kiwanis club partnered with the city's park department and provided a 15-thousand dollar donation to make it all possible.
The play-set is now open to the public and the addition aligns with the city's effort in promoting the arts. Mayor Tony Roswarski says projects like these provide an advantage to the youth in the area...
"Having good playgrounds, having good pieces of equipment like this, and especially this musical piece, right? We want good well rounded children so we want to introduce them to exercise, but also art and music and culture and those things," said Roswarski.
