LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Arconic is reporting that one of its employees has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to a statement sent to News 18, the employee has not been at the plant since early this week. Arconic said all employees have been notified.
"As a precaution, we’ve asked all coworkers who were in close contact with the employee to remain home to self-quarantine and self-monitor, and we have heightened measures to maintain strict hygiene, increase social distancing, and enable employees to work remotely where possible,” Director of Communications Tracie Gliozzi said.
Arconic is an aluminum manufacturing plant on Main Street and Sagamore Parkway in Lafayette.
