LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)- Home With Hope is an organization that helps people recovering from addiction get back on their feet. Friday, they got a little help of their own. Home with Hope is working to restore a historic home next to their current shelter.
The home would provide affordable housing for people who are in recovery from addiction. Today Arconic donated two thousand dollars to their efforts. Paul Starr the Plant Manager at Arconic in Lafayette says they wanted to donate to this non-profit because of all they do to help the local community.
"I think it's amazing the history of the home and having something that's had this history and being able to create a new history helping people move forward is going to be a good way to use this home," said Starr.
The home is also historic so renovating will also help save a piece of history. Home with Hope has raised $30,000 for the project so far. However, they are still in need of donations. If you would like to donate click here.
