LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Leadership Lafayette Class 47 is excited to announce the 4th Annual Leadership Lafayette Volunteer Expo.

For the past few years, Leadership Lafayette has hosted the volunteer expo and this year, more than 50 volunteer organizations are looking for people who want to help the community. While organizations often receive monetary donations, they sometimes are looking for a different kind of donation.

"Human capital is important and it gives people the opportunity to expand their personal network. It gives them opportunities to learn new skills and to give back to the community," said Leadership Expo Member Carlo Amani.

The event will be held Thursday, May 10 at Carnahan Hall at Market Square in Lafayette.

It starts at 4:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
