GREATER LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Women from the Greater Lafayette area were honored for their work in the community.

YWCA Greater Lafayette hosted the annual Salute to Women ceremony Tuesday evening. The event was held at the Trails Banquet Facility.

Ten women were honored for wisdom, distinction, and innovation. Barb Reif said the event is great way to present their achievements to the public.

"We have women here tonight who have not only excelled in their jobs, they've also been volunteers in many important organizations in the community, doing good works and service in many areas," said Reif.

This was the 43rd year the YWCA has hosted the Salute to Women ceremony.
