LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -- The Almost Home Humane Society is on the verge of finding its newest executive director.
The no-kill shelter has had acting director Deb Stanifer in the role for the past few months.
Stanifer says the search is down to two candidates and pending a vote, the decision will be announced Tuesday.
The committee searched for potential executive directors from all over the country.
Having an animal-first mentality is a must for the candidate.
Stanifer adds the executive director must take the shelter to the next level that should include plans for a new building.
