TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - All three school districts in Tippecanoe County will be ending the year early on May 15th.
Tippecanoe School Corporation was originally supposed to end on May 22nd. Lafayette School Corporation was supposed to end May 19th, and West Lafayette community School Corporation was supposed to end May 21st.
An announcement was posted on the TSC website on Friday. Saying, "Based on the Executive Order and guidance from the Indiana Department of Education, the three districts will continue providing remote learning every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until Friday, May 15."
It also says, "The three districts understand the emotional, academic, and other implications of the impact this school closure has on our students and families. The health and well-being of our students remains the top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic."
