WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The flooding in Carroll and White counties isn't only affecting the people who live along the river. Some are now flocking to the area just to see the destruction.

For one Carroll County man, the Oakdale Dam spot holds a lot of meaning. Bradley Abbott has taken his son fishing at the dam for the last two years.

This past week, there's been intense flooding in many surrounding counties. With it came houses and cars under water. Many people lost their most precious belongings.

However, for Abbott and his son, Lane Abbott, said it's the river he's worried about.

They've come down to the Oakdale Dam to see how one of his favorite spots has turned from calm to chaotic.

"I think anybody that knows anything about the river and experienced the river have talked about this and it's a thing we deal with," said Bradley Abbott.

"I think it's pretty cool, but the people down there with the houses probably don't," said Lane Abbott. "I feel bad for your houses. I hope it dries out and gets better down there."

The Abbotts aren't alone. Many people have come to the area to see the flooding in person.
