Driver in multistate police chase released from hospital

The driver in a multistate police chase that happened last Wednesday has been released from the hospital.

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The driver in a multistate police chase that happened last Wednesday has been released from the hospital.

On Oct. 18., 30-year-old Kenneth Brown of Milwaukee led police on a nearly one-hour chase through Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana in a stolen van after kidnapping a 2-year-old child.

After being released from the hospital has was taken into custody and transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.

Preliminary charges faced by Brown include:

  • Criminal Confinement with a Deadly Weapon, Level 3 Felony
  • Criminal Confinement with a Deadly Weapon with a Child Hostage, Level 2 Felony
  • Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle Level 6 Felony
  • Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon Level 5 Felony

Brown is being held on a $2,500 cash bond and a $25,000 surety bond. He is also wanted on three warrants back in Wisconsin.
