INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) — Eric Hunter is Purdue-bound.
Hunter, a senior guard at Tindley High School in Indianapolis announced his commitment to Purdue back on September 25. He chose the Boilermakers over offers from Ohio State, Minnesota and Xavier in large part because of head coach Matt Painter.
"He's probably the most honest person, the most honest coach out of all the coaches who recruited me," said Hunter. "He's never promised me anything. He's always told me what I can do but he just tells me I have to work for it."
Hunter is Purdue's third commit for its 2018 recruiting class joining power forward Trevion Williams and center Emmanuel Dowuona.
As a junior, Hunter helped Tindley win a Class A state championship over Central Catholic.
