2018 West Lafayette football team receives state title rings

The West Lafayette football team received its state championship rings Monday at Berberian Gymnasium.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The West Lafayette football team received its state championship rings Monday at Berberian Gymnasium. West Lafayette finished 2018 15-0 on the gridiron.

Quarterback Kyle Adams finished the season as the state's leading passer with 3,945 yards. Running back Sage Hood completed his career as the school's all-time leading rusher, while Purdue commit George Karlaftis finished the season with 17.5 sacks, good for second in the state.

The team completed the run at Lucas Oil Stadium Thanksgiving weekend, in a thrilling state championship game with a 47-42 win over Evansville Memorial.
