Cameron DeBlasio

Cameron DeBlasio is a multi-platform journalist for News 18 This Morning. He joined the WLFI news team in February of 2022. He is a 2020 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in journalism and telecommunications.

During his time at Ball State, Cameron worked as a reporter, anchor, producer and assistant news director for NewsLink Indiana, Ball State’s on-campus news organization. He interned at WLFI in the summer of 2017.

Cameron is a lifelong Lafayette resident, graduating from Central Catholic Jr/Sr High School in 2016. He is a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and he began his journey in the broadcasting world as a sophomore in high school by working as the public address announcer for St. Lawrence Elementary basketball games. Since then, he has been a P.A. announcer for many high school and college teams, including for his hometown Lafayette Aviators since their inaugural season in 2016.

Cameron is proud to call Lafayette home. In his free time, Cameron enjoys going for runs all across the Lafayette area. If you know of any good running trails to try, feel free to let him know! He also enjoys watching sports and catching reruns of Seinfeld and Modern Family.
