Tippecanoe County reports 444 new COVID cases

INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced Friday, January 7, 14,933 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to the Indiana COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, 3,575,607 including the single-dose vaccine, are fully vaccinated. 1,457,759 have had a booster shot. Locally, Tippecanoe County reports 107,316 have been fully vaccinated.

According to ISDH, 1,329,423 people in Indiana have been diagnosed with coronavirus. A total of 18,959 people have died from the virus, with 165 new deaths.  26 new deaths were reported in the WLFI viewing area:

  • Tippecanoe - 5 (total 316)
  • Montgomery - 4 (total 138)
  • Fulton - 4 (total 90)
  • Fountain - 3 (total 77)
  • Howard - 2 (total 360)
  • Clinton - 2 (total 91)
  • Miami - 2 (total 128)
  • Cass - 2 (total 140)
  • Carroll -1 (total 46)
  • Newton - 1 (total 58)

In the WLFI viewing area, additional cases were reported today in Benton (16), Carroll (31), Cass (47), Clinton (86), Fountain (45), Fulton (17), Howard (218), Jasper (97), Miami (33), Montgomery (73), Newton (20), Pulaski (33), Tippecanoe (444), Warren (13), and White (65).
