LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Loving Paws animal shelter remains over capacity with cats in need, and will need more adopted quickly.
This is because the shelter will be in transition from their current location inside the Pets Supplies Plus in Lafayette. While they're hoping to remain inside the store, there will be a transition period. It is possible they will be changing locations all together.
Owner Theresa Fee said she hopes to remain in the store, and that transition can be stressful for the cats.
"So if they've been here like Mystic has, she's been here since July of last year, she doesn't really know any other area... She's going to be confused when the schedule changes," she said.
As we've previously reported, Loving Paws hasn't taken in any new cats since last year due to lack of capacity.
83 cats were adopted in 2021.
