WLFI-TV is seeking a News Videographer who can shoot compelling

video and sound, edit on non-linear equipment, operate a microwave live

truck, write for broadcast and post video to web. Applicants must

demonstrate ability to handle DV cameras with hard drive, non-linear

editing software, laptop computer, mics, cables, microwave truck, fiber

link and any other equipment needed to perform the daily duties of news

gathering for multiple news platforms. You must be prepared to perform

multiple tasks and be able to work under deadline pressure. Good driving

record and valid driver’s license are mandatory. College degree in

broadcast news and internship at a commercial TV station required. We

are a CBS affiliate in a Big 10 University town with a variety of stories to shoot.

WLFI-TV is seeking a Multiple Platform Journalist / Fill-in Anchor.

Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, and

clear enunciation, and the ability to relate to viewers. This position requires strong reporting skills, the ability to develop local contacts, ability to shoot and edit video, clear writing, and

good use of video and sound in storytelling.  This position also requires the ability to write and post stories to the WLFI website. Daily tasks may include anchoring newscasts, generating local stories, shooting interviews, compelling video, and promotions, writing and editing stories for broadcast and web. Must be able to handle equipment needed to perform the daily

duties of news gathering for a multi-platform, multi-tasking job. Required: one year of broadcast television news experience, 4-year college degree in broadcast news, good driving record and valid driver’s license. We offer the opportunity to grow within a dynamic media company. CBS

WLFI TV 18, the CBS affiliate in West Lafayette, IN, is looking for a candidate with directing and or Master Control experience.

WLFI TV 18, the CBS affiliate in West Lafayette, IN, is looking for a candidate with directing and or Master Control experience. He / She must have good communication skills and the ability to react quickly to changes. The candidate will also be responsible for other production duties such as web publishing, camera operation, and audio operation.

The candidate must have knowledge of computers and production equipment.  The ability to run Master control, ingest media into servers and monitoring on-air signal output are the main responsibilities.  Will prepare playlist and programs for next day air. Purge content from the previous day’s logs. Use of Adobe Photoshop, other editing software as well as control room experience preferred.  Automation knowledge a plus.

WLFI-TV is seeking a Weekend Meteorologist/3 day per week Multiple Platform Journalist.

WLFI-TV is seeking a Weekend Meteorologist/3 day per week Multiple Platform Journalist. Qualified applicants will accurately interpret weather data, develop forecasts, generate graphics on WSI Max, and clearly present information on newscasts at 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

 

The successful candidate will shoot, write, and edit news content three days per week. Community involvement, school talks, and effective communication with emergency management agencies and National Weather Service staff are essential.

 

Applicants must hold a Bachelor`s degree in Earth and Atmospheric Science or Synoptic Meteorology. Applicants must have strong camera presence, solid vocal delivery, and clear enunciation.
