DALEVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Crash Investigators in Delaware County say Sunday's triple fatal accident was the result of irresponsible behavior and decisions by the two adults in the car.
Police say front seat passenger, 47-year-old Kent Kalley, encouraged the driver, his girlfriend 47-year-old Lisa Case to keep going faster and ignore stop signs.
Case later lost control of the car. Both adults died in the crash along with 12-year-old Andrew Lackey.
Police learned this information after talking to at least two of the survivors.
Lt. Arlan Johnson of the Delaware County Sheriff's Department says the children in the back seat of the Cadillac SRX pleaded for the car to slow down but Kalley ignored them and kept telling Case to go faster.
The vehicles airbag control module recorded the vehicles speed at over 110 mph at the time of the crash.
