WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue men's basketball held its first intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday night.
The Black team outscored the Gold team 79-62 and won all three games.
The two teams combined to shoot 49-105 (.467) from the field, 11-28 (.393) from the three-point line and 32-43 (.744) from the free throw line in 30 minutes of game action.
Both Terone Johnson and Ronnie Johnson poured in 22 points each. Terone helped lead the Black team to the three wins. Ronnie played for the Gold team.
Jay Simpson added 17 points on 8-11 field goal attempts for the Black team. Simpson also pulled down five rebounds.
Bryson Scott scored 18 points, dished out eight assists, and pulled down three rebounds. Errick Peck led both tams with 12 rebounds.
The Boilers will hold a second intrasquad scrimmage next Saturday morning (Oct. 26), beginning at approximately 9:20 am.
A shooting on Lafayette's south side is under investigation.
