WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue's Courtney Moses scored 18 points and grabbed 4 steals to help lead the No. 13 Boilermakers to a 78-53 win.
The Boilermakers (11-1) led 36-28 at halftime but blew the game open with a 14-2 run in the first 6:11 of the second half that put them up by 20 on IUPUI (6-7).
"Like I've told them, at least we can score points. If you can score points then it becomes a battle of who can score a little bit more. We haven't had that here and I hope that continues but I think when you get to Notre Dame and you get into the Big Ten who knows," said Purdue head coach Sharon Versyp. "The Big Ten can really get physical and really get after it and we need to slow teams down a lot more then we have in the nonconference," said Versyp.
Purdue's Drey Mingo scored 13 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Sam Ostarello added 15 points and 7 rebounds and KK Houser scored 13 points.
The Boilers have won six straight games and is off to its best start since 2002-03.
"I feel like we have grown every single game, every single practice from the beginning of the season until now," said Purdue junior Courtney Moses. "It's hard to believe that we are twelve games in and a third of the season is over. I'm very happy and I know everyone on this team is happy but we are not satisfied at all," said Moses.
Purdue returns to action on December 29 at 2 pm. The Boilers will play at Notre Dame.
