WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - One of the most impressive plays of the fall sports season happened this week! However, it still didn't take the number one spot!
Rensselaer's Avery Walker picked off two passes and returned both of them for touchdowns against Delphi. Walker takes the number two spot this week.
The play I was speaking of showcases Lafayette Jeff's Cameron Evans. The play happened on the tennis court during sectionals on Thursday. In the one-doubles match, Evans tracked down the ball and hit a no-look return for the point! He placed the shot perfectly and didn't even see where he hit it! I was impressed! I used to play tennis in high school and I wish I could have hit shots like that!
However, the number one spot goes to Frontier's football team. The Falcons snapped Indiana's longest losing streak on Friday. The Falcons had lost 34 games in a row but that streak came to an end. Frontier beat West Central 40-16 and what makes the win even more impressive, is West Central was ranked 9th in class 1A! Congratulations to the Falcons on an incredible win!
