HOUSTON, TX (WLFI) - Former Purdue basketball standout JaJuan Johnson was waived by the Houston Rockets on Monday.
The Rockets got Johnson this year in a trade with the Boston Celtics that dealt guard Courtney Lee from Houston to Boston.
Johnson averaged five points a game during exhibition play with the Rockets this season. The Rockets recently acquired James Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Johnson was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft.
