"It is just an unbelievable feeling that I've obviously never had before, this being my senior year it just makes it even sweeter leaving with a win," said senior Madison VanFossen.
Since defeating McCutcheon 3-2 in the 2004 sectional championship, the Raiders had been knocked out of the postseason six times in eight seasons by the Red Devils.
"It is fantastic to watch these girls win a sectional championship, last year they thought that they had it and unfortunately we were just one match short. This year they came out focused, driven, and they wanted to win sectionals and that's what they did," said Harrison head coach Julie Hawkins.
