WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Former Purdue Boilermaker and current NBA free agent power forward Carl Landry continues to test the market.
Landry has been linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks and now the Los Angeles Clippers.
Landry opted out of his $4 million player option with the Golden State Warriors for the 2013-14 season to find a more lucrative contract.
The Clippers are optimistic they'll be able to land the former Warriors forward. Landry is reportedly looking for a deal longer than three-years and might cost the full mid-level exception for the Clippers, who are limited financially after re-signing Chris Paul and adding guard J.J. Redick.
Former Indiana Schools Superintendent Tony Bennett has found new work helping to pitch a Common Core test to state education leaders.
The Tippecanoe Plaza is going under new ownership.
A shooting on Lafayette's south side is under investigation.
