WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Redshirt sophomore guard Anthony Johnson has requested and been granted a release from his scholarship with the Purdue men's basketball team. Purdue head men's basketball coach Matt Painter made the announcement on Monday.
"Anthony has been a valued member of our program over the last three years," Painter said. "We wish him nothing but the best as he moves into the next chapter of his career."
Anthony Johnson played in 68 games for the Boilermakers, averaging 5.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
