Greenfield, Ind. (AP) - Central Indiana authorities are holding a woman in connection with the fatal shooting of her husband but are revealing few details about the case.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Elizabeth Roberts of Greenfield was being held Sunday at the Hancock County Jail in connection with the slaying of her husband, 57-year-old Gary Roberts, on Friday afternoon.
Capt. Jeff Rasche tells The Indianapolis Star investigators are looking at a number of issues in the case but he would not comment on what triggered the shooting or whether it was in self-defense.
Rasche says Gary Roberts had made threats of hurting himself and was dependent on prescription drugs and alcohol.
It wasn't known Sunday if Elizabeth Roberts has an attorney.
Greenfield is 20 miles east of Indianapolis.
