LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) is working on replacing buses that were burned.
Superintendent Scott Hanback said the district turned in information to its insurance provider. The claim is being processed. The corporation hopes to have four replacement buses by the fall.
There is a backup plan in case they are not ready by then.
"I would think we'd be able to get those replaced by the time school starts. If not, we'll have to use some of our sub buses we have in our fleet and put those out on our routes while we're waiting for a replacement on those," said Hanback.
No bus routes are in jeopardy of being canceled at this time.
