TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - West Lafayette is getting in on some county construction projects as the anticipated annexation gets closer.
Tippecanoe County Highway Department Executive Director Opal Kuhl said since some county roads will become part of the city, if the annexation passes, she wants the city's input on the projects.
She said they are discussing the Lindberg Road project between McCormick and Klondike Roads. Kuhl said the county wants input on trails and designs for the project.
West Lafayette will also help with the cost.
"Right now we are looking at [splitting the cost]," Kuhl said. "We still have to have our two attorneys draw up some type of agreement, but that is what we are looking at right now."
Kuhl said the city will also help with the costs of the projects on Klondike Road and Cumberland Road.
