WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The West Lafayette Farmers Market has opened for business.
Farmers and producers have started to sell many goods grown right here in Indiana.
Every Wednesday from May to October, vendors sell vegetables, flowers, meats, crafts and more. This is the ninth year for the farmers market in West Lafayette.
Sue Gerard, Market Master of the West Lafayette Farmers Market, says it's important to support your local community.
"Farmers and producers can make a good living doing what they study to do, what they love to do. We have great soil in Indiana. We should be growing and buying foods that we produce here," said Sue Gerard.
The West Lafayette Farmers Market will be open from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday from May to October at Cumberland Park in West Lafayette.
