LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Wabash National made a deal to expand west.
The company announced Friday a deal to acquire certain assets of an Oregon-based tank and trailer business. The $15 million cash deal is with Beall Corporation.
Beall Corporation manufacturers aluminum tank trailers and related equipment. Wabash National was the winning bidder for Beall's tank and trailer business, including the company's Portland manufacturing facility. The deal also includes equipment, inventory, some product designs, and intellectual property.
Wabash National President and CEO Dick Giromini said the deal will strengthen the company's tank trailer offering.
Inventions were built by Purdue mechanical engineering students for a final class project.
