LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A car crashed into an apartment building early Monday morning in Lafayette.
It happened at approximately 4:45 a.m. in the 1400 block of Sunset Ridge Drive. Lafayette police told News 18 a woman drove the car into the building, pinning another woman underneath the vehicle. The crash trapped the driver inside her car.
A man on the scene was grazed by the vehicle.
The two women were both taken to local hospitals with unknown injuries. One of the women was taken to Franciscan St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. The other was taken to Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital, both with unknown injuries. At this time, there is no word on their conditions.
City engineers will be inspecting the building Monday to determine if it sustained any structural damage as a result of the crash.
