LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Traffic is now open on I-65 North, between the Dayton andLafayette/Rossville exits. The Northbound lanes were blocked forseveral hours during the day Saturday.
The search for a missing Lafayette woman, Nicole Howard,continued Saturday morning with a group of her family, friends andchurch members.
When the group set out this morning, searchers said their planwas to search a mile-wide canvas of Veterans Memorial Parkway nearI-65 where Nicole Howard's pickup was found Thursday morning.
During that search group members found some bones and flesh,and immediately called the police.
Lafayette Police Lieutenant Tom Davidson said, "The search partyof the missing person did a check this morning and did locate somebones. We do not know at this time if they are animal bones orhuman bones. We are still under the impression that they have notlocated her [Nicole Howard]. We will still continue on with theinvestigation as normal."
