LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Theft and fraud related charges were filed against three Lafayette residents after prosecutors said they cashed several checks from accounts that didn't belong to them.
Prosecutors said Alicia Prince, Marcus Fikes and Anthwan Clark opened several bank accounts using checks drawn on closed accounts.
They said each time an account was opened with those checks, the account holder would withdraw as much money as possible.
Police discovered Prince had the checks and gave them to the others in order to make some 'quick money.'
Clark has not yet been arrested.
Inventions were built by Purdue mechanical engineering students for a final class project.
